Description:

Ladybugs are general predators that feed on an assortment of moderate moving bugs, however, they are most popular for Feeding on aphids. During the grown-up and larval stages, it is a predator. Grown-ups are sparkling, hemispherical insects, frequently red, orange, or yellow, with dark markings. Larvae are black, with prominent legs and orange spots on their backs. They move from plant to plant on leaves. Larvae pupate on the upper leaf surfaces, plant stems, and twigs. Eggs are yellowish-orange ovals, laid on end in bunches of 10 to 50.

Product information:

Convergent ladybird beetles (Hippodamia convergens) are Shipped as Adults in Carton boxes and Mesh bags. Storing the beetles should be done at a temperature of 40°F to 60°F for 1 - 3 weeks. Ideally, ladybugs ought to be released at night or early morning when it is cool or cloudy so they move more slowly and the harsh sun won't bother them. To improve execution, mist foliage beforehand. Ladybugs can start reproducing immediately with adequate food and moisture. A few generations may occur during one season.

NOTE:

  1. Keep in mind that it’s normal for there to be several dead ladybugs in the container, especially those received from March through May. These bugs have reached the end of their life cycle. We always include many extra bugs to compensate for this.
  2. Our handling time is 1 - 2 business days and delivery will generally take 2 - 5 business days.  USPS will not accept live animal shipments on Thursday, Friday and during the Weekend. Therefore, if you order on a Thursday or Friday, we won't ship until Monday.
  3. if temperatures in your state are below 30 degrees or above 80 degrees, we recommend upgrading your Shipping to expedited or faster.
  4. Please have someone available to receive the package when delivered or have your post office hold for pick up. Packages left in mailboxes or unattended in areas exposed to direct sunlight or other source of high or low temperatures may result in dead ladybugs.
